Does trimming add lossy audio compression?
The output is uncompressed 16-bit PCM WAV, with no MP3 or AAC compression added. Decoding, rendering and 16-bit conversion can still change samples, and the optional fade changes the clip edges. It is not a guarantee that the original compressed bytes or samples stay identical.
What is the edge fade for?
The optional 10 ms fade smooths the start and end to reduce clicks from abrupt cuts. Turn it off if you do not want that deliberate change; WAV conversion can still differ from the source samples.
Is my audio uploaded?
No. The browser decodes, previews and exports the clip on your device. Supported input formats depend on your browser’s audio decoder.
Privacy
